Have you ever wished you could only have your pond deicer running when you need to rather than all the time. Here is your solution - the Thermo Cube! It plugs into a standard 120V AC outlet. Once you plug it in, you will have two outlets that are controlled by temperature. It turns on at approximately 35 degrees F and off at approximately 45 degrees F. There are several devices where the thermo cube can help save electricity - pond deicers, stock tank heaters, engine block heaters, heated birdbaths, birdbath heaters, heat lamps and self regulating heat tape. We have seen it used frequently with the pond deicers and heated birdbaths during spring and fall. That way when the temperature drops down under 35 degrees F, the deicer or heater will be on, keeping the ice at bay. If you get a warm snap above 45 degrees F, the deicer will be off, thus saving you on electricity until it cools down again. This outlet temperature timer can also be used as a freeze warning if you have someone watching your house when you are gone. You can plug in a lamp in a certain window and if the furnace doesn't go on, the lamp will go on alerting the neighbors. Get one now before you need it and be prepared for the next cold season.
