Mariano (the large toad) and Dude (the smaller toad) are father and son. If you look closely at their faces you can see the family resemblance. Two to three times a week they play checkers. Mariano usually wins but sometimes he lets his son win just to help build his confidence. Thank goodness mushrooms grow around the house or they would not be able to reach the roof (or top of the stump) in order to play checkers. Dude's mom planted flowering vines around the entrance to their home. The flowers are beautiful. They are both frog green and made of durable poly resin. Their stump is a brownish color but Mariano made sure that it would be bright inside even though there are no sky lights. In fact, the toad house sometimes comes with the floor appearing to have been hopped on by toads or frogs that have recently been in a dirty gravelly area. The toads and toad house measure 10" High x 9" Wide x 7 1/2" Deep, the doorway measures 3 1/2" High x 3 3/4" Wide. It is a large door that allows both father and son to hop through at the same time. If you get in line now, you may be able to challenge the winner of Mariano and Dude's game.Click here to see a closeup of Mariano and Dude from the top. Use your Back Button to return to product.
